There is one IP type that platforms can't bring themselves to block: mobile carrier IPs. In this article we explain why mobile proxies are considered "untouchable", the CGNAT mechanism behind the technology, and the jobs for which they are indisputably the best choice.
What Is a Mobile Proxy?
A mobile proxy is a proxy that routes your traffic out to the mobile carrier network through real SIM cards and LTE/5G modems. Physical modem farms run on the server side: each modem holds a real line, and your traffic reaches the internet from that line's carrier network. The target site sees you as a smartphone user on Turkcell or Vodafone.
The Magic Has a Name: CGNAT
Because of IPv4 scarcity, mobile carriers use Carrier-Grade NAT : a single public IP represents hundreds or thousands of subscribers at the same time. The consequence of this in the proxy world is revolutionary:
If a platform blocks a mobile IP, it also blocks the thousands of real users behind that IP. That is why platforms are structurally tolerant toward mobile IPs.
On top of that, very different behaviour coming from the same IP is, on mobile networks, normal — the behavioural analysis of bot detection systems works far more leniently on mobile IPs.
The Difference Between 4G and 5G
From a proxy standpoint both carry the same level of trust; the difference is performance. Typical speed on 4G exits is 20-60 Mbps and 100+ Mbps on 5G; latency is noticeably lower on 5G. For text-heavy work 4G is more than enough; for video verification and media-heavy streams 5G is preferred.
Rotation Systems
- API rotation: When you send a request to the dedicated link given in the panel, the modem gets a new IP — you can refresh the IP by adding a single line to your bot.
- Scheduled: Automatic change anywhere from 1 min to 24 hours.
- Sticky session: Rotation is off; the same IP is kept until the carrier side refreshes it.
Golden Use Cases
1. Social media account operations: The lowest ban rate for account creation, warm-up and management — in our detailed strategy article. 2. Mobile app testing: Verifying how apps behave on a real carrier network. 3. Mobile ad verification: Mobile campaigns through the eyes of a real 4G user — auditing. 4. Heavily protected targets: The last resort and the strongest card on platforms where every other IP type is blocked.
The Difference from Residential
Both are "real user" IPs; the difference lies in the network type and the economics. Residential is a home internet IP, sold by GB, offering millions of addresses in variety. Mobile is a carrier IP, sold per port (a port = a modem dedicated to you), with variety limited by the carrier pool but a trust score at the very top. For high-volume scraping residentialwins, while mobile wins for account-critical work.
Getting Started
Mobile proxy plans start at ₺299/month; every port is dedicated. Exits are available in 40+ countries, including Turkish carriers. If you would first like to rehearse a general proxy setup with free addresses , the list is always open.
